how to knit a blanket

Knitting needles in a variety of sizes (US 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13 and 15 from the bottom). For many people one of the most enjoyable aspects of the craft is browsing through the many yarns available in a knitting shop.

For those of us who knit, there is almost nothing more relaxing than watching a row of neat, organized stitches line up on your knitting needles. To start you can even make some simple combination of stitches. There is a large variety of yarn to choose from to make your knit baby blanket.

Flat knitting, which is done on two straight needles, produces a length of cloth, while circular knitting, which is done on circular or double-pointed needles, produces a seamless tube. Baby blanket knitting patterns are available, and because of the square design, are quite simple for beginners.

Once you learn the basics of knitting, you will want to continue progressing to more advanced stitches and knitting patterns. Knit it like you would knit any stitch.
