Anyone who has anything to do with knitting will know the importance of knitting yarns. Knitting needles in a variety of sizes (US 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13 and 15 from the bottom).

Plied yarns may themselves be plied together, producing cabled yarns or multi-stranded yarns. Of course, the challenge of a complicated pattern, or a technique previously untried requires a bit more focus and can result in "tinking" (also known as un-knitting) or even some serious "frogging" (ripping out more than a few stitches, so called because "rip-it, rip-it" is reminiscent of the frog's "ribbit"). Dyeing may be done industrially, by hand or even hand-painted onto the yarn.

A modern knitting machine in the process of weft knitting. In knitting you are often counting your stitches and focusing on nothing more than the stitches being created and the count itself. But to develop this fabric you will need some devices with which you will be able to knit with.
